About Guidebolt

Based in Toronto and Montreal, Guidebolt is a pioneer startup in the development of robotic avatar systems. Avatars are physical humanoid robots controlled remotely by a human operator with compact on-body interface from the comfort and safety of their home or office. Avatars enable humans to teletransport their senses and physical abilities in real-time to any remote location.

For example, Avatars could help medical service providers care for patients physically without any risk of infectious exposure and without the inconvenience of time-consuming procedures for cycling personal protective equipment.

Avatars could reduce commutes and improve employee safety for retail, manufacturing, farming, distribution, and long-distance infrastructure activities. Avatars could help provide critical care and deploy immediate emergency response in natural or accidental disaster scenarios. In learning environments, one expert teacher could bring knowledge interactively to thousands of eager learners at several remote locations. In personal relationships, Avatars will bring people closer together, regardless of their age, location, or mobility.
